Max leads Brammer Architects with a deep respect for the firm’s legacy and a passion for innovative, climate-responsive design. As the son of the late Nigel Brammer, Max was immersed in architecture from an early age, developing a strong connection to the craft. With over 24 years of experience across a multitude of sectors, ranging from small-scale residential to multi-residential and large-scale health and education projects, he blends traditional principles with modern design innovation to create functional, sustainable spaces.
Max enjoys construction detailing and project management, striving for environmentally sustainable and innovative solutions. His philosophy emphasises harmony between the built environment and nature, ensuring that each project is both aesthetically pleasing and practical. He is committed to crafting designs that meet clients’ needs while reducing environmental impact, with a focus on sustainability, energy efficiency, and environmental responsibility.
As Director, Max takes a hands-on approach throughout the design and construction process, ensuring precision and care in every project. Under his leadership, Brammer Architects continues to uphold its reputation for excellence while expanding its reach and embracing the latest in sustainable architectural practices.
Outside of work, Max enjoys spending time with family, surfing, cycling, exploring nature, and finding inspiration from the landscapes that influence his designs.
